Thank you for the beauty and the grace I find in my life right now. It is always there – has always been present. Only, now I’m learning to know it.
River Of Stones #2
Delicate lines
easing apart.
I almost see
the force of life
about to explode,
in petal
in fragrance
in loving grace.
John O’Donohue reads Beannacht, a blessing he wrote for his mother. Josie O’Donohue passed away on December 31, 2011 surrounded by her family.
Here you’ll be gifted with images from his home as his voice carries his blessing:
I’ve learned a little more about the relationship that’s possible between mothers and their sons through knowing that John O’Donohue wrote this blessing for his mother. Today I learned of her passing. As she left this world surrounded by her family, I like to imagine that she slipped into her next world greeted by those she had loved here, that had gone before her. Beannacht is a beautiful blessing that inspires me often.

You found your way into our home and our hearts
Uninvited, you felt yourself a stranger amidst affectionate hands.
Now you sleep, peacefully
You know you’re loved once more.
Curled on my blanket
One paw reaching me
Tells me, we too
Have entered your heart.

In reading 'Air' from The Four Elements by John O'Donohue, I now … [Read more...]
Feel free to join us there and be inspired to notice the world around you a little more than you usually do. I would love to see you in the river and for you to share your stones here too. This is an initiative that I feel sure will help us all pay nature more of its deserving attention, one in which we may discover the little miracles of each moment.
